Impress Your Visitors with an Inviting Guest Bathroom

Creating the perfect guest bathroom remodel to entice and welcome your guests can be done relatively easy. By making a few changes, you can create an ambiance where your guests feel pampered and as if they were in a 5 star hotel.

TOWELS

Use freshly laundered and plump 100% cotton towels and washclothes that invite your guest to relax in your bathtub and enjoy the space. For the hotel spa look, roll the towels and place additional items such as brushes or soaps either on top of the towels or leaned against the towels.

FLOWERS

A fresh flower can brighten up your bathroom and bring a smile to your guests. Whether you choose a full vase of flowers or simply one flower in a vase, you bring a nice aroma and touch to the room. If you choose not to use flowers, consider adding a scented candle or some potpourri to create an inviting smell. Take caution with guests who may have sensitivities to perfumes.

SUPPLIES

Supply the bathroom with items your guest may need. Shampoo, toothpaste, toothbrush, razors, lotions and soaps. Consider placing the items in a basket so your guest has easy access to the items and doesn’t feel as if he has to search for what he needs. You may also want to add some items such as a pain killer, antacid, band aids or other medical items your guest may need. Even if he brings his own items, he has the knowledge and inviting feeling that you were thinking of him and what he might need.

CLEAN

One of the most important steps in your guest bathroom remodel is to make sure the space is thoroughly clean. Take a step back, and look at the bathroom carefully and with fresh eyes. Look closely at the baseboards, behind and near the base of the toilet, the walls, the faucets, the drawers. Clean the bathroom as if you were selling the home and inviting buyers in.

EXTRA TOUCHES

Take a look at your bathroom, and think of little things you can add that will warm your guests. Add little decorative touches such as a rack and magazines, a new shower curtain, new bath rugs and perhaps luxurious robes and slippers. Add a night light for guests who need a small amount of light to guide them to the bathroom during the middle of the night. Remember, your guests may not be familiar with your home and the surroundings, and the light might be of great comfort.

Depending on your budget, you may be able to really create a guest bathroom remodel by changing out your counter tops or faucets. Whatever your guest bathroom remodel consists of, keep your guest in mind and try to create an environment that is welcoming and inviting.
