Small bathroom ideas can make for bigger results

Although a small bathroom can feel cozy and intimate, it can also sometimes feel claustrophobic and frustrating. A bathroom is a very important room in your home and with a little “visual magic” you could make your small bathroom appear to look bigger than it really is.

So what could you do?

One way to make your small bathroom look bigger is to install a glass shower enclosure. This can make your small bathroom look bigger because it allows you to see from one end of the room to the other. Another way to make your bathroom illusive is to use soft neutral paint colors such as white, yellow, peach, tan or any other bright colors can create the effect of more space by opening up your bathroom. Dark colors make any small bathroom feel tight and unwelcoming. To create the feeling of openness, you can add several mirrors to your wall that act as “artificial windows”. Also adding proper lighting can make all the difference (keep in mind your not changing the size of the room, so be selective on which products to use) Try replacing that old Formica vanity from the 70’s with a pedestal sink and removing the matching 70’s medicine cabinet ,replacing it with a borderless mirror or a recessed medicine cabinet. Also remember to choose smaller or thinner fixtures on the walls, less is sometimes more in smaller bathrooms.
