It is an unhygienic site that should be cleaned immediately to avoid unwanted accidents in the future. Nevertheless, you should also be very much aware of the major causes of these mold growth to help hinder it from ever deciding to consider your bathroom its golden abode. **Poor Ventilation** Low circulation of air inside your bathroom premises is one of the major reasons behind mold growth. If you see the presence of black spots and white fuzz on your bathroom ceiling and **tub surrounds** then this is most likely due to the growth of these unwanted molds. The best thing you could do is to install an exhaust fan on your bathroom to promote proper ventilation. **Low Lighting** Molds will not grow in a well-lighted environment. If your bathroom has no window that will attract light to enter, then you should always turn on the lights to help deter the growth of molds. You may also open your bathroom windows occasionally so the natural heat of the sun can help eliminate these molds. **High Humidity** It is noticeable that bathrooms that uses water heaters are more prone to mold growth. This is not surprising because steam and running water is one of the favorite breeding grounds of molds and mildew. The least you can do to avoid this is to control the humidity of your bathroom by opening the bathroom window after you have used it. **Dampness** Homeowners who fail to dry their bathroom floors and **tub surrounds** after using it will be prone to mold infestation. The best thing you can do to avoid this is to prepare a rug or mop that can easily be used to dry up the drops of water on these floors to help prevent mold growth.
